Dr. Bob Goddard, aka Dr. Bob, has been in private practice as a Licensed Psychologist for 30 years. In addition to private practice, Bob taught full time college courses, and worked as a School Psychologist. In his private practice, Bob has worked extensively with teenagers, adults, couples and families. In terms of client issues, Bob has extensive clinical training and experience in working with clients having anxiety, depression, trauma issues, ie, adult survivors of abuse, substance abuse, anger issues, especially with teenagers, as well in working with client having conflict and tension in their couple and family interactions. Bob utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including Systems therapy, cognitive and behavioral approaches, humanistic oriented approaches and process oriented therapy, which would include an exploration of thoughts and feelings, past and/or present, in order to resolve, diminish and ideally eliminate symptoms.
In addition to private practice (which was both full time and at times a part time practice), Bob has provided group supervision of family and couples therapy to clinicians, has provided individual supervision to interns and clinicians working in the field, has spent several years teaching ten day and other courses to DCYF (NH Division for Children, Youth and Families), has worked full time as a psychologist for the State of NH with teenagers in residential care and has taught a variety of courses, both college and graduate courses, in psychology. He has also has taught 30 week courses in Systems theory to clinicians in the field. He loves his works and thus enjoys working in the variety of settings listed above.
